
Within our company, we have been working for some time on developing a robot arm to make logistical processes smarter and more efficient. Initially, we explored whether the robot could be used for stacking crates on pallets and for emptying and stacking barrels. The main focus has now shifted to the barrels. Emptying and stacking these is one of the heaviest physical tasks within our company and is still largely done manually. By automating this process, we reduce the physical strain on colleagues while improving efficiency.
Our colleague Alex de Roode is fully dedicated to the development of the robot arm. A successful proof of concept has now been achieved. The robot can process different types of barrels and can be easily adapted by changing the gripper head. This makes the solution flexible and suitable for multiple applications.
The next step is the purchase of a second robot arm. With this, approximately 90% of all barrels can be processed automatically. Additionally, this opens up possibilities to use the robot arm for other tasks in the future, such as automatically stacking crates.

With vision picking, we have introduced an innovative technology that makes our order-picking process more efficient and precise. Using a smart augmented reality headset, our employees receive real-time visual guidance projected directly into their field of vision. The headset indicates which products to collect, in what quantities, and guides them along the optimal route.
This technology eliminates the need for physical order lists and other materials, speeding up the process while significantly reducing errors. Additionally, the headset provides an extra control mechanism, enhancing the reliability of our order handling.
Vision picking enables us to continuously improve our processes while contributing to a more sustainable and future-oriented work environment. With this technology, we take an important step toward better service and greater operational efficiency.

We have developed an innovative system for processing products in water-filled containers. This system automates the filling process with water and nutrients, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
Smart technologies sort the containers based on product length, significantly reducing damage and breakage.
