The freesia brings a burst of color and a subtle perfume into your home. Its nostalgic fragrance often evokes memories of the past. While commonly used as a secondary flower in (bridal) bouquets and floral arrangements, we believe it’s time for the freesia to take the spotlight. This blog encourages you to experiment and "freestyle" with freesia – and maybe even inspire fellow florists in the process.
Freesia
the inflorescence of a Freesia is called a comb, because of all the flower buds lined up so neatly?

Freesias are often used as an extra flower in a (bridal) bouquet or floral arrangement. Instead, we wanted to show a different side of the Freesia and put it in the spotlight. We showed surprising designs, fresh ideas and inspiration. And for that reason, we went freestyling! We also asked you to freestyle with Freesias and share your ideas via our community platform FlowerFriends, or via social media. In doing so, you could use #freestylefreesia and #heemskerkflowers. As part of our 60th anniversary, the 5 customers with the best creations received a voucher worth €60 (redeemable in our webshop). Via social media and our website, we kept you informed about this campaign.
In our digital Meet & Greet Freesia, we already share some beautiful Freesia creations. These are created by arranger Roos van Unen, in cooperation with RoyalFlora Holland and FlowerFactor.
