Kalanchoe is a versatile and strong flowering succulent from the Crassulacae family that brings atmosphere to any room. The plant family is very large and very varied, including the unusual Magic Bells and Foliage Kalanchoe. The flower colour ranges from white and purple to pink and yellow.

The international platform FSI (Floriculture Sustainability Initiative) ensures that the cultivation and breeding of Kalanchoës is always FSI-compliant. This means that as well as being a cheerful addition to the home and garden,

Kalanchoe is also good for people, the planet and the environment. Most growers also meet the MPS-A standards; this is the highest achievable standard for environmentally responsible cultivation.

Indoor and outdoor

Because the Kalanchoe is available in many types, shapes, sizes and colours, it is suitable for a variety of styles and moods. Kalanchoe feels most at home in an arrangement with a matching pot. Kalanchoe can be placed both indoors and outdoors, and is easy to care for.

Tip: When the temperature outside rises above 10°C, the plant can easily be moved outdoors. For example on the patio, in the garden or on the balcony!

Types

Kalanchoe is a fabulous plant for mixing and matching with others of its own kind, but also works well with other green or flowering houseplants. For example, try putting together a mix of different heights and colours to create your own urban jungle in a trice!

There are various types of Kalanchoe: single-flowered, double-flowered, large-flowered, Bell, foliage and specialty Kalanchoes.

The single-flowered Kalanchoe has a single layer with petals. There are fifty different varieties of the single-flowered Kalanchoë, and new varieties are regularly added.

Double-flowered and large-flowered Kalanchoë have two or even more layers with petals. There are over forty different varieties of this Kalanchoë, and new varieties are added to the range for this variant every year as well.

Magic Bells

Kalanchoe Magic Bells is one of the most eye-catching Kalanchoes. The lantern-shaped ‘bells’ are a beautiful pale green, and after a while they produce coral-coloured flowers. These disappear again after flowering, but you can continue to enjoy the ‘bells’ for a long time. The fabulous foliage also helps make the plant a real feature in an interior.

Kalanchoe Sunny

The sunshine in your life! That is Kalanchoe Sunny. This Specialty is very similar to the classic double-flowered Kalanchoe, but the Kalanchoe’s unique shape and leaves make it really distinctive. Kalanchoe Sunny is available in various colours, including white, pale pink and ‘brushed pink’, and also in red at Christmas.
